IASTM therapy
How does it work?
IASTM combines static and dynamic soft tissue manipulation with specially designed stainless steel instruments.
Fascia is a thin connective tissue that covers our muscles, separates muscle groups and individual parts of our body. and those with a higher, to a lower.
The glide of the fascia is disturbed after surgical interventions, various traumas, incorrect posture of the body, which can cause pain, limit movement and lead to the development of compensatory mechanisms. Fascia also responds to various types of stress and dehydration by reducing its elasticity and shortening.
The soft tissue techniques of IASTM technique are applied to special points of fascial restriction (restriction), the release of which leads to an improvement in the functional state.
When the instruments make contact with fibrous tissue, a slight vibratory sensation is transmitted, which orients the therapist to exactly where the fascial restriction is.
In this way, the biomechanical function of various joints in the human body can be improved.
PHYSIO MEDINK uses IASTM technique to:
- Treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions;
- Increase the volume of movement in various joints;
- Acceleration of the healing process through fibroblast activation;
- Treatment of a large proportion of sports injuries;
What are the main benefits?
IASTM technique is an innovative technique that is used to treat musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
With the IASTM technique tools, soft tissue restriction can be easily detected, muscle tone and pain can be reduced.
The IASTM technique is extremely effective in:
- Tendinitis (golf and tennis elbow, Achilles);
- Bullshit;
- Plantar fasciitis;
- Frozen shoulder;
- Muscle strains in subacute and chronic stages;
- Pain syndromes in subacute and chronic stages;
- Low back and neck pain;
- Some nerve damage (carpal tunnel syndrome);
- Treatment of postoperative cicatrix;
