Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a method of alternative medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease through manual techniques.

The basic idea of osteopathy is the body’s ability to heal itself naturally when it is in a proper structural and functional state.
Osteopathy often includes lifestyle advice, diet and exercise to improve general health.

Typically, manipulations involve rapid and controlled movements applied to the spine or other parts of the body.
They are aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain and aiding the body’s natural healing processes.

We always work with selected techniques of closed and open type, having previously performed tests and observed all the requirements for indications and contraindications for the performance of therapy.

Basic principles of osteopathy:

  • Nervous system – The health of the spine is believed to be essential for the optimal functioning of the nervous system and, consequently, the entire body.
  • Holistic approach – The body is seen as a whole, not as a collection of separate parts.
  • Structure and function – The structure of the body and its function are interrelated.
Structural problems (e.g., spinal curvatures) can lead to functional problems.
  • Self-healing – The body has an innate ability to heal itself under the right conditions.

Conclusion:

Osteopaths use a variety of techniques including stretching, pressure and manipulation of muscles and joints to improve movement, reduce pain and aid the body’s natural healing processes.
This approach can be used for a variety of conditions including back pain, headaches, muscle and joint problems and more.
